Iberia VINE Arrest Coverage
Iberia Parish takes part in Louisiana VINE, or LAVINE. The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement runs it statewide with sheriff, district-attorney, and corrections partners. Its official roster directory maps Iberia to the parish LAVNS host, and state materials put every parish jail and state prison in scope.
Custody drives the scope. Old arrest history, juvenile matters, released persons, federal prisoners, and immigration detainees are all outside it. Someone awaiting court in the Iberia Parish Criminal Justice Facility appears through the parish feed. A transfer changes that. After sentencing, the person may land in the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections layer instead. Community-supervision details may ride the state route.
The two clocks differ. LCLE says the roster refreshes every 30 minutes. The DOC page updates state data every 24 hours. Neither rate guarantees a new arrest appears that fast.
Search Iberia Custody on VINE
Start at the official Louisiana VINELink site, and search only for a person you actually know, with enough detail to separate possible matches. A similar name is not the right name.
- Select Louisiana and choose the person search.
- Enter the full or partial name, including a spelling variant when needed.
- Use the ID or case-number field if a reliable identifier is already known.
- Compare available identity details before opening the matched custody record.
- Read the facility and status as a current custody report, not a final court result.
- Use the offered registration control if release or transfer notice is needed.
The official VINE search screen lists state, county, name, and ID fields.

The screen should be used without publishing a real subject’s personal details.
Iberia VINE Result Fields
A result is a custody lead, nothing more. Fields vary by agency and record, so the table describes proper use rather than promising every entry.
| Result item | Meaning and limit |
|---|---|
| Name | Starting identity field; confirm it against other known facts. |
| ID or case number | Search or record identifier; do not call the roster’s VINE ID a jail booking number without confirmation. |
| Facility or location | Where the system reports custody; verify urgent questions with that facility. |
| Custody status | Current reported state, which can change after release or transfer. |
| Notification options | Channels offered for custody changes, such as phone, text, or email. |
| Charges and disposition | Not a substitute for the booking packet or court’s final result. |
| Photograph | No public booking-photo feature was verified for the Iberia roster or DOC locator. |
The official Iberia roster shows Name, DOB, Race, Gender, and an Arrest Date header. Its arrest-date cells were blank. A VINE registration icon sits beside each name. No mugshot appears. Charges, bond, court date, agency, and disposition do not appear there. Use the custodian and court for those facts.
Register for Iberia Custody Alerts
Open the right record. Then use the live registration choices. Louisiana supports anonymous inquiry and notice, and the flow may offer phone, email, or text, with phone management sometimes needing a four-digit PIN.
- Confirm the person and custody facility before registering.
- Select the available release, transfer, or custody-change notice.
- Enter the phone number, email address, or text destination requested by the system.
- Create and retain the PIN if the phone channel asks for one.
- Complete any confirmation step and keep the registration details secure.
- Act on an alert by checking the live record and calling the facility when necessary.
The captured VINE notification interface illustrates the registration path without exposing a real person.

Stick to the contact methods the current flow offers and keep your PIN private. Phone access runs through 866-LAVNS-4-U, or (866) 528-6748. Treat a notice as a prompt to verify. It is not a promise of instant booking notification, guaranteed delivery, or a court result.
Iberia Alert Timing Layers
Three time points stay distinct. First, jail staff must finish enough intake and jail-system entry for a row to exist. Then the parish roster refreshes at its own cadence. VINE comes third. It processes custody status and any notice, so the 30-minute figure covers roster refresh, not the intake chain.
DOC updates its state records every 24 hours, so that layer can lag behind reality in Iberia Parish. The parish roster moves faster. A transfer between parish and state custody shifts which layer answers your question. Note: Record the check time and facility. If a just-booked person is missing, use Arrested Today from the navigation and call the Iberia jail at (337) 369-2431.
Verify Missing Iberia VINE Results
A blank result screen can mean several things. The person may still be in intake or already released. Another spelling can hide a match. So can a hold outside Iberia or the adult parish and state scope. Start with the official Iberia roster. Then call the jail or sheriff if the status is urgent.
For a durable record, mail a request. Address it to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, 300 Iberia Street, Suite 120, New Iberia, LA 70560. Include the full name. Add a known date of birth or incident number, a narrow date range, the arresting agency, and the exact item you want. Ask whether the sheriff or the jail is custodian. Ask for the basis of any redaction or denial. The sheriff sets no fixed photo fee or response time.
City arrests complicate things. If New Iberia, Jeanerette, or Delcambre Police made the arrest, the incident report can stay with the city. The booking record belongs to the parish jail. Ask both agencies which record each holds. The Iberia Parish recent arrests guide covers those access channels and court follow-up.
Federal and ICE Custody Limits
Louisiana VINE is not the federal locator. The official BOP Inmate Locator handles federal prison custody, giving identity and location data but no public booking photographs. Federal pretrial or U.S. Marshals custody may require the relevant federal district or agency.
Immigration custody runs on the separate DHS-VINE service. The systems are not interchangeable. A parish hold, an ICE matter, a state sentence, and a federal sentence each sit apart. People move between them, so a negative Louisiana search does not rule out another form of custody.
The Louisiana DOC inmate-information page maps the state route.

This state-prison path should not be described as Iberia’s local booking archive.
Iberia Arrests Versus Court Outcomes
VINE tells you whether a person is in custody right now. That is the whole job. An arrest in Iberia Parish is not a court result. The two should never be confused. For the legal outcome, try the 16th Judicial District Court docket. New Iberia City Court is another option. Use it if that is where the case sits. Note: Always confirm the court, case number, division, and disposition before relying on what you find.
No mugshot gallery appears on this page. Photos are not treated as proof of anything here. Louisiana DOC also restricts access to imprisoned-person records under R.S. 15:574.12, with public categories spelled out in the statute. VINE is a notice and location tool. It will not hand over a full booking packet.
